On January 1st at around six in the morning it began to rain. And it rained right through until the afternoon, where it gave us a reprieve for a few hours until it began again. Rain isn't such a problem, except as soon as the rain hits the ground, it freezes. These images were taken on the 2nd, around lunchtime. The entire property was an ice rink, even the yard.
Everything had at least a quarter inch of ice on it, driveway, trees, cars, house - but by the time the pictures were taken a lot of it had melted off. The second shows my wife not too long after she fell flat on the driveway.
