I know a bunch of different languages (QuickBASIC, perl and C being my most used), and tend to write a lot of software, mostly for the hell of it.
I'm quite proud of a lot of my QBasic products, because they are often
reasonably smart for QBasic. Surprisingly people knock QBasic, and I'd
love to know why, because what it lacks in inbuilt commands, it has in
function and simplicity. Hell, QBasic rules, end of story :)
These are just my favourites.
JProcWars
JProcWars is a game for perl coders. I intended it to be a meeting of the
classic CoreWars, and the Mac game RoboWar.
The basic premise: Coded warriors are launched as separate processes on a UNIX
machine with the objective of "destroying" each other using some intermediary
controlling software. The better you code your warriors, the better they should
do.

SynthOS
SynthOS is a Synthetic Operating System, written entirely in QB,
with its own type of filesystem, devices, et al. SynthOS runs on top of
any DOS/Windows machine happily enough.
If you want to know more, you'll probably have to download it :)
Latest release: Version 0.6 - Out 14th May 2000
Karn
Karn is a BBS door game I wrote a while back. I'm pretty sure it all works
:)
Karn does NOT have any inbuilt modem routines, so it relies entirely on
the BBS software to detect hangups, send data from the modem to Karn, etc.
I couldn't be bothered writing any.
Karn is very customizable, entirely its reason for existance.
Available for download is the REGISTERED version. (No kiddin').
